Child & mother hurt in crash

The Laurel County Sheriff's Office says a woman and her child were rushed to the hospital after a two car crash on Wednesday morning.

The crash was on Ky 80, 4 miles west of London at the intersection with Ky 1535(Sinking Creek Rd). Deputies say it appears 28-year-old Becky Abner Osborne pulled into the path of a car driven by 34-year-old Kevin Hopkins. Osborne told authorities she did not see any traffic approaching when she pulled out. Her car was broad sided in the intersection.

Sheriff's deputies say Becky Osborne received multiple serious injuries. Her 6-year-old daughter was a passenger in the back seat, and received serious head injuries. Kevin Hopkins received possible injuries. Becky Osborne had to be extricated from her car by mechanical means. All injured persons were transported by Ambulance Inc. Of Laurel County to St. Joseph Hospital-London for treatment.
