Christie will speak at Republican dinner

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will speak
at the Kentucky GOP's Lincoln Day Dinner in Lexington in May.
Kentucky GOP Chairman Steve Robertson announced the headliner
for the annual get-together on Tuesday.
Christie had been touted as a potential presidential candidate
in this year's Republican primary, but he opted not to enter the
race.
Robertson said the Republican Party of Kentucky is excited to
have a "powerhouse like Gov. Christie" coming to Kentucky.
Robertson said Christie's "tough, no-nonsense leadership style"
makes him the perfect messenger to energize Kentucky Republicans
ahead of this fall's general election.
The dinner will be held at the Marriott Griffin Gate hotel on
May 19.
