PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A house of worship became the target of vandals. And Wednesday the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office released surveillance video, hoping it will help make some arrests.

The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office says it shows two men spray painting satanic messages on two church vans near Somerset.

Bethlehem Baptist Church and a few houses are really all that's out there in the rural community of Nancy. Yet, vandals managed to find the church, and now the church congregation is hoping surveillance video helps find them.

The video captured by security cameras at Bethlehem Baptist Church doesn't lie. You can see two men approach the vans and get right to work, tainting them with spray paint. At one point during the video, you can clearly make out "Satan" being written in bold letters.

But the vandalism didn't stop there. Statues, with the Ten Commandments listed on them in front of the church, were kicked over and broken in half.

"We live by those Ten Commandments, and somebody wants to come in here and vandalize. It's heart-wrenching." Wayne Flynn, a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church for 64 years.

Even with other strife in the church trying to find a new pastor, they continue to lean on prayer and forgiveness.

"We'd probably take them into the church and punish them that way," said Flynn. "But if we can get them into the church that would be the best thing that could happen."

People of the church congregation tell us the church has never been vandalized before, and the same goes for other churches in the area.

The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office says they do not have any leads in this case and are asking for the public's help. Contact the sheriff's office at (606) 678-5145 if you have any information about this vandalism.
