Cincy chief stars in ad for University of Phoenix

CINCINNATI (AP) - Police Chief James Craig says it was for
Cincinnati that he agreed to do a national TV commercial for the
University of Phoenix.

Craig jokes that he spent years working in the Los Angeles
police department but never got called to Hollywood until he came
to Cincinnati.

Part of the commercial was shot in November in the same Hollywood studio where "I Love Lucy" was filmed in the 1950s. In the ad, Craig says the University of Phoenix "opened the door" and allowed him to make a difference in Cincinnati and save young people's lives.

The chief earned a master's degree from the university and is
now a doctoral student in its management program. The school has
branch campuses throughout the country.
