MANCHESTER, Ky (WYMT) - One eastern Kentucky city may be doubling in size soon.

The City of Manchester in Clay County is looking to annex property to the north, northeast and northwest.

Mayor George Saylor says this would give the city more land so that it can grow, but not everyone is for the proposal.

Some people we talked to who live in the proposed annexed area say they already receive all the benefits of living in the city without having to pay the extra property taxes.

The process is expected to take several months.
