A Pineville city employee faces three counts of possession of a controlled substance.
Bruce Howard was booked into the Bell County Detention Center Friday afternoon.
He has since bonded out of jail.
Howard was out with a group of inmates on work detail from the Bell County Forestry Camp when those inmates were asked to undergo random drug tests.
Authorities asked Howard to empty his pockets and that's when they found drugs on him.
Howard works in the city's street department.
