City leaders begin process of raising property taxes

Williamsburg city leaders have started the process of passing a property tax increase.

The increase will be one cent per one hundred dollars of assessed value.

The rate hike is expected to generate nearly twenty thousand dollars of additional income.

The personal property tax rate will not be changed.
