City officials could file a lawsuit against a local business

Leaders in one southeastern Kentucky city say they may have to file suit against a local business.

City leaders in Corbin say court action is likely against the owners of the Mountain View Lodge off Interstate 75.

Leaders say owners of the motel haven't paid any of the city's four percent 'transient' room tax since 2009.

The issue was brought up at the monthly meeting of the tourism and convention commission.

The city's attorney said if the back taxes aren't paid a civil lawsuit would likely be filed after Christmas.
