Cleaner air in a Bell County hospital

Updated: Fri 10:43 PM, Aug 19, 2011

Cleaner air is better air.

Pineville Community Hospital is creating a safer, cleaner environment for their employees, visitors, and patients with a new air system.

Lt. Governor Daniel Mongiardo says the number one error in healthcare is infection.

The innovative, PURAIR system removes pathogens before the air is circulated throughout the building.

Cleaner air vents lead to a healthier atmosphere for everyone who enters the hospital.

"If we can reduce the number one preventable error in hospitals, then we can save lives. And we can lower the cost of healthcare, and at the same time we can create jobs," said Lt. Governor Mongiardo.

Pineville Community Hospital will be the first certified PURAIR hospital in the country.
