Updated: Sat 10:03 PM, Mar 09, 2013

PIKE COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - Co-star of Animal Planet's 'Call of the Wildman', Neal James, was in Pike County on Saturday.

James was in town as part of a fundraiser held at Pike Central High School. The event benefited various charities including the Harvest Home Orphanage.

Volunteer Vanessa Turner says, "We are benefiting several different groups, this is in conjunction with the Pikeville Kiwanis and Coal Run Kiwanis...we are all about children because that is what Kiwanis do."

Neal James says, "I enjoy doing things like this because I don't see any other way...kids are our future."

Event organizers say if you missed the event you can still drop off monetary and canned food donations at Coal Run City Hall.
