Coal truck accident leaves two people hurt

Louisa, Kentucky - Two people continue to recover following a coal truck and tanker truck accident in Lawrence County.

It happened at the intersection of U.S. 23 and North Highway 3 near Louisa around two Monday afternoon.

The driver of the coal truck says he tried to avoid hitting two cars, so he swerved and put his truck on the side, then the tanker truck hit the coal truck.

Two other cars were hit by the spilling coal.

Two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
