Coal truck crashes in Lawrence County

LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ky. (WYMT) - A coal truck crashed and burned early Tuesday morning when it was hit by tires.

The tires came from a semi traveling in the opposite direction.

The Lawrence County Sheriff says the tractor trailer was traveling south when the front tires on the driver's side came off and crossed into the path of the loaded coal truck.

Authorities say the truck went off the road and through a guardrail before rolling over and catching fire.

The driver was treated for minor injuries.
