Color run held in Prestonsburg for breast cancer awareness

PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (WYMT) - Prestonsburg was painted pink on Saturday thanks to a 5K color run through downtown.

More than 30 runners participated in the event organized by the HealthNet Aeromedical Team.

Organizers say they expect to raise between $800-1,000 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

Paul Conley says, "Some of family members of our flight medics and nurses have had breast cancer and are survivors from it so we decided that we would do a fundraiser for breast cancer awareness."

The group says they plan on hosting more color runs and hope to pick a different foundation to support each year.
