Rounds of heavy rain will begin to move into the area later tonight, leading to the increased potential for flooding. A Flood Watch is in effect for the entire area from now through Thursday and a Winter Storm Warning goes into effect tomorrow. As we head into Wednesday, temperatures will drop and transition our rain to sleet and eventually to snow. Most of the area could see several inches of snow and sleet before it's all said and done. A Kentucky committee on health and welfare delayed a vote on an executive order that would create an online marketplace for insurance plans.
The marketplace is a key part of the health care reform law.
Even if the committee votes against creating an exchange at a special meeting in September, the controversial part of President Barack Obama's landmark health care bill will be started in Kentucky.
Since Governor Steve Beshear signed an executive order July 17th creating the Health Benefit Exchange.
