Two months after tornadoes hit eastern Kentucky, people in the area are working hard to make sure students at Magoffin County High School have a normal prom.

The schools were hit hard by the tornado and teachers in Magoffin County say they were not sure how they would have the budget for a normal prom.

They have received several donations including nearly 300 prom dresses and several tuxedos.

Morgan County High School even donated their prom decorations to the school.

“We couldn't do it without our supporters and individuals and those who have helped donate whether it be cash, whether it be food, whether it be maybe their time, you know. So we're really thankful and appreciative,” Jerry Patrick said.

The school's prom will be held on May 5th.
