Community action agency board members search for new executive director

MIDDLESBORO, Ky. (WYMT) - Board members with the Bell-Whitley Community Action Agency are searching for a new executive director.

The Middlesboro Daily News reports Peggy Capps was dismissed from her position.

Bell County Judge Executive Albey Brock told the newspaper the move was made after an internal audit and months of investigation.

He says the main reason for her firing was due to serious allegations of misuse of agency property, giving assistance to persons who did not qualify under agency program guidelines, and overall bad treatment of staff.
