LONDON, Ky. (AP) - Law enforcement officials, emergency
responders, medical providers and anti-drug groups will participate
in a community forum next month in southeastern Kentucky where
planners hope to raise awareness about methamphetamine.
Commonwealth's Attorney Jackie Steele is hosting the forum in
London. The program will include a panel discussion, unveiling of a
new statewide education campaign and a question-and-answer session.
Steele, who is prosecutor in Laurel and Knox counties, says the
forum is for people who want to learn more about the makers of
pseudoephedrine, a key ingredient in meth, and the dangers
associated with meth.
The program is at 6 p.m. EDT Sept. 13 at the London Community
Center.
