Community members want to start neighborhood watch

Posted: Mon 6:25 PM, Jan 16, 2012

Since early December, fires have destroyed one home, the old Eubank High School and buildings at two lumber and pallet businesses.

Jason Perkins says one fire even caught his home on fire while he and his wife were inside sleeping.

Firefighters were able to save the home from major damage, but the siding will have to be replaced.

So far, no one has been hurt in any of the fires, but many fear that could change.

Investigators say they don't have a motive and are not talking about a person of interest but they do say they are following up on a few leads.
