Community pays tribute to Gatewood Galbraith

It was standing room only at Carnegie Center as people came out to remember a political leader.

Gatewood Galbraith was a veteran and his celebration of life started with a presentation of the colors, followed by remarks from Mayor Jim Gray.

Mayor Gray referred to him as a man with a "vigorous and passionate spirit."

His daughters Abby, Summer and Molly spoke to the crowd about what their father meant to them.

"He never missed an opportunity to share love, kindness or good will with anybody," Molly Galbraith told those who attended the service.

The service closed with a 21 gun salute, which was only for the family.
