Congressman Rogers reacts to super committee's inability to meet deadline

In light of the super committee's failure to meet their deadline to find areas in the United State's budget to cut, WYMT spoke with U.S. Congressman Hal Rogers about his reaction.

"I'm terribly disappointed. I'm really ashamed. It seems like we can't get our act together. In spite of the fact that we've got this trillion and a half dollar a year deficit. This committee that we have entrusted to cut spending has failed and I'm disappointed," said Congressman Rogers.

Now that congress has the duty to find areas where cuts can be made, Congressman Rogers says the first place some people are looking is the military.

He says that is the last place congress needs to cut any funding from.
