Connecticut man sentenced to five years probation

PINEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - A Connecticut man who pleaded guilty to taking a Bell County teen out of the state is allowed to return to Connecticut.

Earlier this month, David Hernandez pleaded guilty to custodial interference charges.

Sheriff's deputies say in January he took a Pineville teen without her parent's knowledge.

The judge sentenced him to five years probation.

Hernandez got credit for 72 days already served in jail.

Bell County court officials say Connecticut authorities will oversee Hernandez's probation.
