Contract awarded for next step in U.S. 460 project

PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has awarded a contract for the next step in a project to carve a new U.S. 460 through Pike County.

The nearly 25 million dollar project is one of the largest remaining pieces of a new U.S. 460 corridor from Kentucky 195 to east of Pond Creek Road.

Bizzack Construction won the contract.

It calls for the project to be completed by November, 2016.
