Corbin Shoney's shut down due to roach infestation

CORBIN, Ky. (Corbin News Journal/WYMT) - The health department has shut down a Southeastern Kentucky restaurant due to a roach infestation.

The Corbin News Journal reports the Shoney's in Corbin was shut down Wednesday.

Investigators from the health department found what they called a heavy infestation of the bugs during an inspection following an anonymous complaint.

Officials told the paper they have talked to the owners, who say they are working to correct the problem and re-open the restaurant.
