A Flash Flood Watch is in effect through Sunday evening for most of Eastern Kentucky. Another round of heavy rain is likely early on Sunday and could lead to new high water problems. Remember if you come across a flooded road way to "Turn Around, Don't Drown!"
CORBIN, Ky. (WYMT) - A Corbin man is facing a number of charges after police say he poured gasoline on his wife and threatened to set her on fire.
On Saturday, police got a call from the couples daughter saying Russell Knickerbocker, 48 was pouring the gas into her mothers eyes and trying to kill her.
When officers arrived, they say Knickerbocker had also poured gas on himself and was holding a lighter, threatening to light them both on fire.
Firefighters, who also responded, were able to use a hose to knock him down so police could take him into custody.
Knickerbocker is charged with attempted murder, attempted arson 1st, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
