Corbin woman dead in crash

DRY RIDGE, Ky. (AP) - State police say a Corbin woman has died after the car her husband was driving crashed into a pickup truck that was parked on a highway shoulder.

Police from the Dry Ridge post said the crash Wednesday killed 28-year-old Nora Greene. Her husband, 29-year-old Jacob Evans of Owensboro was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence.

Police did not say if the crash was related to rain and snow that fell across much of Kentucky on Wednesday.

Police said Evans lost control of the car he was driving and struck a pickup truck parked on the right shoulder of Interstate 75. The driver of the pickup, 67-year-old Danny Marsh of Boone County, had pulled over to help another motorist and was not in the truck.
