Seven dead, including five children, following Knox County fire

GRAY, Ky. (WYMT) - Police tell Mountain News seven people have died in a fire in the Gray community of Knox County.

We do not know the identities of the victims, but are told they are five children and two adults.

1pm Update:

GRAY, Ky. (WYMT) - The Kentucky State Police has confirmed several people have died in a Saturday morning fire.

It started just before 10am at a home on Shady Brook Lane just off Sam Parker Road in the Gray community.

Officials have not released how many victims there are or their relationship to each other.

12:20pm Update:

GRAY, Ky. (WYMT) - Officials tell us the fire is under control and an arson investigator has been called to the scene.

We have a crew on the scene and will update you with more information as it becomes available.

Police tell us crews are on the scene of a house fire on Shady Brook Lane just off Sam Parker Road in the Gray community.

Not many details are being released right now, but we're told the coroner has been called.
