Whitley County Coroner Andy Croley says 47-year-old Bruce Childerss, who's originally from Dayton, Ohio, drowned in the Cumberland River.
His body was found not far from where he was staying with family members just east of Williamsburg, close to Highway 92E.
Family members identified the body by tattoos and previous medical treatments.
He hadn't been seen since July 7th.
