HARLAN, Ky. (WYMT) - Harlan City Police say counterfeit bills are increasing in town.
Police say several businesses are receiving fake tens and twenties.
They have discovered the bills at places like CVS, McDonald's, gas stations and KU.
Police say all of the counterfeit bills have the same serial numbers, which shows they are coming from the same place.
Police are investigating who is making them.
They are reminding cashiers to check all bills first.
