Couple accused of falsely reporting an incident

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - A Knox County husband and wife are behind bars for allegedly falsely reporting an incident.

Police say earlier this month, James Murray called the Knox County Sheriff’s Office saying he had been robbed at gun point and that his medication was stolen.

One day later his wife Shirley Murray allegedly called police reporting the same incident.

However, police say her husband had already admitted he lied the day before.

Both were arrested.
