LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Authorities say a drunken couple were arrested and charged with public intoxication after they staggered into the Laurel County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office said in a news release that two officers who were in the back filling out reports came out into the lobby and determined that the two were "obviously intoxicated."
They charged them also with possessing a controlled substance outside of its original container. Messer had prescription pills in a paper wrapper and West had pills in a baggie. They were taken to the Laurel County jail.
