A couple faces charges after police say they falsely reported that two people had been shot.

The Laurel County Sheriff's Office arrested 19-year-old Steven McCullough and Natisha McCullough.

Investigators say it all started after Steven McCullough got into an argument with the 72-year-old owner of Creekside Trading and then tried to attack him!

A short time later, police say they received a call that a man and woman had been shot at the business... but police say the shooting never happened.

The McCulloughs are charged with public intoxication and falsely reporting an incident.
