Couple arrested for child's death

State police have arrested a man and woman in connection with the death of a child in Magoffin County.
James Garcia and Cindee Collins are charged with manslaughter.
Garcia's son, four year old son Cameron Bryce Mullins, died two days before Christmas last year.

State police and the Magoffin County Coroner have investigated his death for nearly eleven months, and the investigation ended Friday with indictments.

Deputy coroner Brian Parker says the state medical examiner's autopsy report shows the young boy died from blunt force trauma to the head and also had many internal injuries.

Police have not released many details on the death investigation, but tell WYMT Mountain News the Magoffin County grand jury indicted the four year old's father, 42 year old James Garcia, and his girlfriend, 23 year old Cindee Collins, on manslaughter charges.

State police arrested them in Magoffin County late Friday afternoon. The couple is being held in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.

No bond is set yet for either suspect. Court dates are not set yet either.
