Laurel County Sheriff's deputies arrested two East Bernstadt people Tuesday night for trafficking.
Deputies say 48-year-old William Keith Marcum had meth in a silver container in his left front pant pocket that had six baggies of suspected meth in it. Deputies say a search of Marcum's home found more meth along with numerous meth paraphernalia items.
A woman, 38-year-old Shanda Caldwell, was also in the home. Deputies say she had a container with two plastic baggies of meth in it inside her purse. Deputies charged Caldwell with Trafficking in Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine).
Marcum is a convicted felon with numerous previous meth related charges including Trafficking in meth 2002, DUI in 2007, Manufacturing meth in 2011, Trafficking meth in 2011 and a pending charge of Manufacturing/trafficking with Endangerment to a child.
