A couple in Letcher County is charged with possessing and distributing child pornography.
The charges against this couple were actually investigated by the attorney generals office's new cyber crimes unit that has only been in operation less than a year.
The undercover investigation started last December.
“The cybercrimes unit, as I understand it, they are constantly monitoring the internet looking to certain types of films,” Commonwealth’s Attorney Edison Banks said.
That's when they found Martin and Clarissa Mosley who are now charged with more than sixty counts of possession of child porn and one count of distribution, but before they were charged Banks says Cybercrimes made sure the pornography was not accidentally sent to the Mosley’s and then immediately deleted.
“They have to identify that it is a real person and not a computer generated image or someone that really is an adult and looks like a child,” Banks said.
Banks says this is the first time the Cybercrimes unit has investigated in this area ... But he says it's a good thing.
“Up until the cybercrime unit we probably would have never been able to apprehend or make a case on this,” Banks said.
“Both are being held in the Letcher County Jail under $7,000 bonds a piece.
Martin and Clarissa Mosley could be facing a 60 year sentence if convicted.
