MOREHEAD, Ky (WYMT) - Four firefighters are recovering, injured while battling a massive fire on an Eastern Kentucky college campus.

Flames shot out of the roof and smoke poured from the windows of Downing Hall Sunday morning on the Morehead State University campus.

The building, which was scheduled for demolition, was being used for office space.

Crews from four different departments helped to battle the massive fire.

University officials confirm that all of the firefighters were released from the hospital and are expected to be okay.

No Morehead State University students were on campus, due to Christmas break.
