Cultures clash in commonwealth over UK-UofL game

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - The biggest college basketball game in the
commonwealth of Kentucky - and arguably the country - is taking its
cultural clash to the Big Easy.

It's Kentucky vs. Louisville: a matchup of contrasts that's
steeped in history with nine combined titles between the two
schools, the same number as North Carolina-Duke. But move west off Tobacco Road. You'll find the true epicenter of college basketball
along a rolling 70-mile stretch of Interstate 64.

Pick your side - Wildcats or Cardinals. Rupp's Runts or the
Doctors of Dunk. Dan Issel or Wes Unseld. John Calipari or Rick
Pitino.

This is the grudge match to end them all.

It's the fifth time the schools will meet in the NCAA
tournament, and it pits Pitino against one-time friend and now
frosty foe Calipari.
