Investigators are looking for a suspect wanted in a violent robbery, where a customer was held at knife point.

Pulaski County Sheriff's deputies say a masked man came into S&M Grocery on Highway 39 Friday around 9:30 p.m.

In surveillance pictures sent to WKYT, the robber can be seen holding a knife to a customer while demanding cash from the clerk.

Investigators say the female clerk retrieved a handgun from behind the counter and challenged the would-be robber, refusing to hand over any money.

The robber then left the store, released the customer, and ran away without taking any cash.

"Because of the circumstances surrounding this case we consider this man very dangerous," said Sheriff Todd Wood.

The sheriff said based on the voice of the suspect, the robber is believed to be a white man. He was wearing blue jeans, a black hooded jacket with a red billed cap, mask and dark glasses.

This is the second robbery in Pulaski County in just a week.

Investigators are looking into the possibility of a connection between this robbery and the July 13 robbery at D&D Food Mart on North Highway 27.

Anyone with information about either of these crimes is asked to contact the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office at (606) 678-5145, or leave them an online tip on their website: You can remain anonymous if you wish.
