DEA officials warning people about a new scam

CORBIN, Ky. (WYMT/Times Tribune) - Officials with the Drug Enforcement Agency want to warn you about a scam.

The Corbin Times-Tribune reports that thieves are obtaining addresses of people who order medications on the internet.

Once at the victim's house, the fake DEA agents pretend to be there for an investigation, but instead, target their victims for thefts.

Police say if anyone comes to your home and is not wearing an official uniform, ask to see a badge or identification.
