Dancers raise money at zumbathon

HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - Several ladies danced their hearts out for a good cause Friday in Perry County today

Friends and family got together to raise money at “Zumba for Zaden.”

The event was originally designed to donate to a little boy, Zaden Fox, with Neuroblastoma.

But his disease took a turn for the worst and Zaden lost his battle to cancer last week.

Family members say the money will now go to funeral expenses, but they are glad to zumba in his honor.

“He would be having a ball right now if he was down there, I'll say that. All his cousins running around and getting to dance and hear music; he would just be having a ball,” said Zaden’s aunt, Jessica Johnson.

Neuroblastoma is a type of cancer that most commonly affects young children. Zaden was 3 years old.
