David Williams Makes A Stop in Johnson County

Updated: Thu 12:10 AM, May 05, 2011

Senate President and gubernatorial candidate David Williams was in Johnson county Wednesday night as part of his state wide campaign tour. The may 17-th republican primary is now less than two weeks away!

His running mate, Richie Farmer, did not attend the event but we did talked to Williams about several issues. We discussed some recent controversy involving Farmer. A recent report states that Farmer did not report or pay taxes for six years on his personal use of a state vehicle, even after several warnings from state auditors.

All Williams would say is that once all the facts come out, the truth will speak for itself.

The name of their bus tour is the lead, follow or get out of the way bus tour. Williams says "we've give the governor the opportunity to lead ... he would not lead ... we've given him the opportunity to follow ... he would not follow ... so we think its time he get out of the way".

The primary elections are on May 17th.
