A crash in Harlan County leaves one man dead.

Police say Robert Welch the Second was driving south on U.S. 421 in the Bobs Creek area about 1:30 Monday morning when another car crossed the center line and hit him.

Officers say the driver of the other car, Charles Wiley, had to be cut from his car and was flown to U.T. Medical Center.

Welch was pronounced dead at the scene.

No word on what caused the wreck.
