Police are investigating a deadly shooting in Floyd County.
It happened in Hueysville just off of Route 7.
Police say 42 year old Delmas Gene Slone, Jr. was killed.
There are no arrests yet.

Police are still trying to piece together what happened on Raccoon Road late Wednesday afternoon.
State police got a 911 call for help. When troopers arrived, they say they found Delmas Slone, Jr. dead outside near his home.
The coroner says he was shot to death.

"The other party involved in this incident was located. His information is being withheld at this time. We're not releasing his name or any information at this time. Detective Kevin Newsome continues to investigate," said Trooper Shaun Little.

Officials say the alleged shooter does not live on the same street as Slone but does live somewhere in the area.
Police are still investigating if they knew each other and trying to figure out what led to the shooting.

State police did not arrest the alleged shooter at the scene. They plan to take the case to the Floyd County grand jury to see if any charges will be filed.

People who live on the street told us they did not see or hear what happened.

The victim's family also did not want to talk about the shooting and are now mourning the loss of their loved one right before Thanksgiving.

Floyd County Coroner Greg Nelson says Slone's body went to the medical examiner's office in Frankfort for an autopsy.
