A Pike County man charged with murder entered a not guilty plea on Wednesday afternoon.
Ervin Smallwood is charged with murder in the death of Gregory Todd Martin.
Martin was found unresponsive at his Harless Creek Home back in November.
Smallwood's bond is set at $100,000. His next court date is scheduled for February 7th.
A Pike County grand jury returned a murder indictment on Monday.
In the indictment, officials wrote Ervin Smallwood of Regina beat and suffocated Gregory Todd Martin, 32 years old, last month.
Todd was found unresponsive at a Harless Creek home.
Officials have not yet set an arraignment date.
A man was found dead in his Pike County home Friday and now another man is charged with murder.
Police say 32-year-old Gregory Todd Martin of Elkhorn City was found dead Friday evening inside a home on Harless Creek.
35-year-old Ervin J. Smallwood of Regina was arrested and charged with one count of murder.
He is in the Pike County Detention Center.
Police have not released a cause of death.
Martin's body was taken to Frankfort for an autopsy.
The case remains under investigation.

A man was found dead in his Pike County home Friday and now an investigation is underway.
Police are not releasing many details right now.
The man, who the coroner says could be in his 30's, was found dead Friday evening inside a home on Harless Creek.
Police are not releasing his cause of death and are calling it a death investigation, but detectives have confirmed that foul play is suspected.
Detectives say they are interviewing some people of interest.
The Pike County coroner took the man's body to Frankfort for an autopsy.
