Death investigation underway in Knott County

HINDMAN, Ky. (WYMT) - Police are investigating after a missing man was found dead in Knott County.

The body of 30-year old Eric Tysen Fugate of Hindman was spotted shortly after his abandoned truck was found on a mining road in Triplett Branch.

Fugate was reported missing less than 24 hours earlier.

The exact cause of death is not known and his body was sent to Frankfort for an autopsy.
