Death investigation underway in Knox County

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - Police in Knox County are investigating a death there.

We are told officers found 39 year old Matthew Middleton face down behind his home Christmas Day.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of death is unknown and officials will perform an autopsy.
