WYMT Severe Weather Alert

More storms are firing up off to our west and will be moving in our general direction. Most should be below the severe threshold, but some could bring some strong wind and hail. We will be monitoring the system throughout the night and will update you as needed.

Death investigation underway in Perry County

HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - State police are investigating a death in Perry County.

A body was found under Glomawr Bridge.

Police say they found 44-year-old John J. Turner dead.

The official cause of death is not being released.
Officials say they are awaiting the results of an autopsy.
