PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WYMT) - Several unanswered questions Monday after a man was found dead inside his home.

Police in Pikeville are investigating after they got a call Sunday that a man was dead in his home along Adams Road in Pikeville.

Police say they do suspect foul play.

Police are not releasing much information yet, but they were out most of the night investigating the scene.

They say when they responded to the house Sunday they did find a man dead inside.

"Myself and two other officers made entry into the residence, located the deceased male," said Pikeville Patrolman Chad Branham

The man was pronounced dead by the Pike County coroner.

His name has not been released, but police say it is being investigated by Pikeville Police Detectives and a Kentucky State Police Crime Scene Unit from Frankfort.

They have not released the cause of death.

"We've sent the body for autopsy. We're awaiting the medical examiner's ruling, and we'll be releasing further later on," said Public Safety Director Paul Maynard.
