Harlan County motorists can expect long delays on KY 38 on Monday, January 28.

Crews will be working from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. to stabilize the road near the KY 179 junction, from mile markers 15-17. Steel will be drilled into the shoulder.

Traffic will be allowed to pass through the work zone as the work allows. Flaggers will provide traffic control.

All work is scheduled on a tentative basis and is subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet asks motorists to be aware of the work zone and to utilize safe driving habits when traveling through the area.

Road condition reports for District 11 routes are available by calling 511 or by visiting the 511 travel and traffic information web site at http://511.ky.gov.
