Day two of the Democratic Bus Tour began right here in Hazard.

"Day two is great. It's fun to get out and meet all the folks across the state. It's a great opportunity, we're all working hard and we aren't going to let up." says Robert "Bob" Farmer, Agriculture Commissioner Nominee.

Along side Farmer, was First Lady Jane Beshear, former Governor Paul Patton, Secretary of State Nominee Alison Lundergan Grimes, and State Auditor nominee Adam Edelen.

"One of the things I learned as an aid to Governor Patton is that east Kentucky feels left out. So it's important for folks in eastern Kentucky to know how critical they are to the success of this ticket in the fall." Edelen says.

And as the campaign trail comes to a close, the candidate’s main goal was to encourage members of all parties to turn out and vote.

"It's really a tour that's about reaching out to all Kentuckians, regardless of whether you're a democrat or republican or independent, to encourage and energize that we are twenty two days away from an election on November eighth." says Grimes.

Kentucky Republican Party Chairman Steve Robertson said republican candidates will be swinging through the area in the next couple weeks as well.
And when it comes to the democratic bus tour, Robertson said he was troubled the Democratic Party was embracing candidate Farmer in this tour after his jokes about eastern Kentucky people.
