The superintendent of schools in Laurel County is facing charges.

Officials say a deputy arrested David Young Saturday evening when the officer found him inside his crashed truck on U.S. 25 near Court Road.

Young is charged with DUI, resisting arrest and for having prescription drugs not in the original container.

He was released from jail on bond late Saturday.
